There’s a lot of hype around this new app called stepn, I stumbled upon it on youtube where some guy was explain that it has he is making money from excercising.
I like to excercise and thought like hey, why not try this.
I downloaded the app, tried to register but I couldn’t. I can’t register to stepn because I don’t have access code. Apparently they only have 1000 codes per day and bots are taking them so fast that you have no chance. I did some more research and when I found that the shoes cost 5800 USD, I forgot about this whole thing.
I started to think if there are any other apps that are similar to this, but I couldn’t find any, until…
I found this app called snkr.run. A bit odd domain, yeah. They have a website and you can right now buy their sneaker boxes.

I haven’t seen any demo yet of the app, but I guess they are still working on it. Right now the shoes are like 4 usd, which is really cheap compared to the other ones. I feel super bullish about this because if they can pull this off, those shoe prices are going to increase and there’s gonna be a huge user base because the other app just isn’t working for most people. I think this crypto defi space is just getting started and this play to earn model in real life is going to be huge.
It’s always hit or miss with these crypto projects, but hey.. you never know.
